John Bechta is part of the Corporate Strategy & Business Development team at SJI, where he leads efforts to grow the company’s renewable natural gas portfolio. His work includes sourcing acquisitions, structuring commercial agreements, and developing investment strategies to expand anaerobic digestion and waste-to-value assets.

John’s technical background in wastewater treatment and process optimization laid the foundation for his transition into renewable energy. Today, he plays a key role in advancing clean energy initiatives that align with SJI’s long-term sustainability and growth goals.
